Montigo Resort Nongsa Review

Over the weekend, I paid a visit to Montigo Resorts in Batam on a personal trip, and just had to do a quick post on the place before I overlook - the place is simply wonderful despite the fact that they are not fully open yet!

Simply try the welcoming view from the lobby…the resort is made up of three sorts of villas with subtle differences - Hill Side Villa, Hill Top Pool Villa and Spa Villa (I reckon you'll be able to more or less tell what the differences are from the names!).

There was a cold towel and welcome lemongrass drink to enjoy whereas we had been checking in…even in case you do not converse Bahasa Indonesia, no worries as the workers are decently proficient in English. The standard of service is sort of equal to that of Membership Med in Bintan, which is basically saying something.

The resort is set right into a hillside, so a good quantity of strolling is required - prolonged exploration of the resort is not advisable for old folk or these with younger children, though journey can easily be taken care of by the quite a few buggies servicing the resort.

The bottom floor consisted of a spacious lounge complete with kitchen amenities and even a Wii…the day beds had been so cozy, you will even fell asleep there!

And oh, the villa pool…it is not large, but most satisfying - you only need to open the living room sliding doorways, take 2 steps and climb straight into the pool.

The second ground was made up of the 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms - the{master room (which I obtained) has a 4 poster bed, while the second room has two single beds…take my phrase for it, when you sink into the bed and the pillows, you won't need to budge!
Rest room , The stone bathtub is right below a skylight, and came with a nice packet of bath salts…too bad I didn't have time to soak in there! There's additionally a individually partitioned bathe stall and toilet if you need to share the lavatory with someone.

One other superior touch - double sinks! No need to queue or struggle for sink area within the morning…big plus point for me.

I hadn't heard about Malin + Goetz earlier than this, but after a quick Google search (doncha simply love instant information at your fingertips?) I discovered they're an apothecary based in New York. They have the most superb smelling toiletries - rum cleaning soap, cilantro body wash, peppermint shampoo…you'll be able to simply think about those pretty scents, cannot you?

The restaurant is the only bit that seemed more harking back to Indonesian design, however in some way I liked it - just a little bit rustic with fashionable parts weaved in.

Look up! I had to give two thumbs as much as the resort's consideration for nature…as an alternative of demolishing the entire space, they made concessions round among the timber which I believed was a small step in the fitting direction.

From an eco-friendly perspective, the resort additionally made the trouble to preserve as much energy as doable - the widespread areas of the resort are principally white with ethereal ceilings and followers, while on the villas only the mandatory areas such as bedrooms and front room are air conditioned (the staircase up to every ground is ventilated from the outside).

For individuals who can't fully disconnect from the web but but do not need to pay hefty roaming fees, you may be most delighted to know that Montigo Resorts has free Wifi throughout the whole resort (personally examined, they have awesomely quick speeds and regular sign!) - are you leaping for pleasure yet?. This resort already official launching in March 2013.
